What First Got You Into Music?
My whole life I’ve been an artist whether it’s visual art, a clothing brand or just random projects. Teachers always told me I had a creative mind. It was when I listened to Travis Scott’s Astroworld album where I realized that music is the medium that I’m most passionate about. I started making music in my freshman year of highschool, making beats on garageband and writing lyrics but didn’t post anything or take it seriously till now, my senior year. I always knew I didn’t wanna go to college or get a 9-5 job and the artist lifestyle has always appealed to me. I always felt lost and confused about what my future held until I started creating music.
Who Inspired You To Make Music?
Travis Scott is a huge inspiration for me, I love his sound so much and the impact it’s had on me as a person is something I want to replicate. Kanye and Kid Cudi as well taught me that being different can be a strength and not a weakness. Their music also got me through some tough times when I felt like no one really understood me, I knew that they did. That’s something big I want to do going forward, being more vulnerable on my songs so someone listening knows they aren’t alone. My cousin is also a huge inspiration for me, he’s always supported me through whatever crazy idea I have at the time and is always there to give advice and lead me in the right direction.
How Would You Describe The Music That You Typically Create?
I’d describe the music I make as redefining for the underground. I strongly believe that if some of my favourite artists heard my songs, they’d like it a lot. My lyrics are something I really take pride in especially on the unreleased tracks I got, it’s something that a lot of people need to here and like I said, it’s for those feeling like no one understands them, to show them they ain’t alone. I got a lot of things I need to get off my chest and tell the world so be ready for that. I believe that if I can make the music I’ve been making out of my bedroom, then what I can do with more resources will be incredible.
