Jaden Jilg-Brown, otherwise known as “Jilg-Brown” is a Musical Artist and Motivational Speaker who born and raised in Lincoln, Nebraska. He has experienced hunger, homelessness, and addiction within his family firsthand. He has learned from the mistakes of his family, and has taken the initiative to make better choices leading himself to a better life. Jilg-Brown holds a positive and constructive presence within his community to try to help lead others on a better path. Jaden has performed and spoke at many positive community events and has also spoke and performed for two Juneteenth celebrations this year for NAACP Youth Committee event, and I for an HBCU fundraising event all in his home city Lincoln, Nebraska at “The Bourbon Theater ” which is a very popular venue in the city.
Most recently Jilg-Brown was blessed with the opportunity to be a keynote guest speaker for the freshman during Freshman Day at Lincoln North Star High School. He got a chance to share a bit of his story with them and show them where he is today and the journey it took getting here. He also gave them some words of encouragement to help empower them for the upcoming school year.
Jilg-Brown stated “My realization of self worth lead to a culture shift. Using my success as a form of stimulation, I inspires others to make better choices to allow for a chance at a better life. I knew this was the right path for me when I noticed how much of a positive impact my music and community presence was making. People really listen to me and my story shows true resilience, something so many people in the world can be empowered by.”

What Do You Enjoy Most About The Work You Do?
What I enjoy most about the work I do is the fact I am able to use the strength I’ve built up through my life experiences to help others find their strength within. I am able to show so many others that they are not alone and that they are understood.
What Is The Biggest Obstacle You Faced
My biggest obstacle I have faced in my career was getting over the hump of just beginning. There are not many non-explicit Musical Artists who rap. Other than Christian Artist (to clarify I am not a Christian Artist). The world is so used to the Hip-Hop/Rap culture being negative and derogatory and promoting cynical ideologies. I know that I cannot necessarily change anyones mind but I am going to do my best to open their minds. How I have overcame this obstacle is by continuing to master my craft and continuing to spread these positive messages to my community and the world.
What Is Your Dream Opportunity?
My dream opportunity would be to have the entire world hear my story and the message behind it. To gain the positive notoriety publicly so I can potentially inspire others. With that, I would like the financial freedoms to be able to change my life along with the lives of every person I come in contact with. People should not have to live unhappily due to a financial hardship. If I were given the opportunity to change that for others, I would take the most advantage of it.
What Would You Want People To Remember Most?
What I want for people to remember most is that I genuinely loved what I do and I genuinely love every person. I understand that everyone is someone’s child, and when I have a child of my own I want to know that my child is safe at all times, and that they are being loved. I want people to remember me for showing the utmost love to every human I can in contact with.
What Is Your Goal?
My goal is to eventually share my story in every High School here in Lincoln, Nebraska and eventually every Middle School as well. Potentially branching out and speaking nationwide
“That speech was my first Motivational Speech in an educational institution and I learned a lot about myself and my craft.”
“Looking forward to progressing with each new speech!
I am beyond grateful for every opportunity presented to me, and I look forward to continuing to give back to my community, and eventually to other communities as well.”
